Frequently Asked Questions:

Do you see preschoolers?

Do you see school-age children?

Absolutely. I can assist with language assessment, speech, and school readiness goals.

Do you see school-age children?

Do you see school-age children?

Yes. I support school-age children in building fluent communication and confidence through personalised speech therapy.  Together, we will develop practical tools and strategies that your child can use, helping them feel supported and confident.

Do you see teens?

Yes. I provide a safe and supportive space where teens can learn and practice effective stuttering techniques, build social confidence, and develop stronger conversational skills.  strengthen self-advocacy, and promote a positive identity. We can explore fluency control techniques and ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy.) Sessions are available online, making it easier to fit speech therapy around school life and downtime.

What does assessment look like?

What does assessment look like?

The first session.

In our initial session, we’ll take the time to get to know you  and I’ll ask questions to understand your history, and explain key information about assessment or therapy. Together, we’ll discuss the assessment options that fit you best,  and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions.

After our first session we can decide on the next steps.

From there...

I can offer language assessments, speech or stuttering assessments, or school-readiness assessments. These are play-based, friendly checks of things like speech sounds, language understanding, expression, and how your child is set up for school communication. Any recommendations will be provided verbally. Reports can be created for an additional fee.

Should I wait and see?

What does assessment look like?

Should I wait and see?

No. For children seeking help, early intervention is key. A language assessment can help identify the best treatment approach, and starting speech therapy before the age of six gives the best chance of strong progress. We advise you not to just wait and see.

For teens, it can be beneficial to book in for stuttering therapy to work on fluency and / or communication skills.

Making an appointment is easy. Just use the contact form, and I will reach out with available times. It is advisable to book a preferred weekly time so we can lock it in for the school term.
